Ciência 2025 already has a date. This year, Portugal's largest science and technology meeting will be held from July 9 to 11 at the NOVA SBE Campus in Carcavelos, with the theme "Science, Innovation and Society".
It will be a floor for promoting and discussing the scientific, social, cultural and economic impact of research in Portugal, exploring and sharing common aspects of science, innovation and society, to inspire new ideas and foster transformative collaborations.
Organized by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia and the National Agency for Scientific Culture CIÊNCIA VIVA, in close collaboration with NOVA University Lisbon and institutional support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, the event has a diverse schedule, including more than 50 sessions and around 200 speakers. It aims to reflect the best in science, technology, and innovation in Portugal and internationally, and more than 2,000 participants are expected.
In 2025, the guest will be the European Commission, with the presence of high-level representatives in the area of Science and Innovation.
The Science and Technology Exhibition, which will take place in a vast exhibition area, will be attended by various entities from the science and innovation ecosystem. The event will also feature an area for the presentation of scientific e-posttests submitted by doctoral students from all over the country.
