Registration is now open to attend Ciência 2025, which will take place from July 9 to 11 at the NOVA SBE Campus in Carcavelos.
"Science, Innovation and Society" will be the motto of Ciência 2025, an event that has established itself as the largest science and technology meeting in Portugal. The initiative aims to be a stage for promoting and discussing the scientific, social, cultural and economic impact of national research, exploring the intersection between science, innovation and society, to inspire new ideas and foster transformative collaborations.
Pedro Pita Barros, Full Professor at Nova SBE, and Vera Aldeias, Coordinating Researcher at the University of the Algarve, are the scientific commissioners for Ciência 2025. They stress that the theme "Science, Innovation and Society" invites a comprehensive reflection on the structuring role of science in the development of societies.
In this edition, the European Commission is the guest of honor, represented at the event by high-level leaders in the area of Science and Innovation.
With a very diverse schedule , more than 2,000 participants are expected at this meeting, which will feature more than 40 sessions, around 150 speakers, the presence of 34 exhibitors at the Science, Technology and Innovation Exhibition and an area for the presentation of scientific e-posters submitted by doctoral students from all over the country. The submission of e-posters for this edition is also now open, and the respective submission rules are also available.
Ciência 2025 is organized by the Foundation for Science and Technology and the National Agency for Scientific Culture CIÊNCIA VIVA, in close collaboration with NOVA University Lisbon and with the institutional support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation.
