Welcome to the biggest event dedicated to science in Portugal, Portuguese Science Summit 2024!
It is with great pride that this year we have the privilege of holding Portuguese Science Summit in Porto, for three days, at the Alfândega do Porto Congress Centre Congress Center, under the motto +Science for Health and Global Wellbeing.
We will be debating the major themes of science and innovation in Portugal, in an integrated way that cuts across all areas of science.
We will address the impact that science has on health and well-being in a global and integrative vision of "Health".
Science has the power to transform a country, to put it at the forefront of scientific and technological research, innovation and economic prosperity. This year, in Porto, we will be discussing the importance of science as a driving force behind the development of a country and of humanity in general.
We will discuss the role of science at the interface with health and well-being, through the participation and intervention of renowned scientists, professors, doctors and political entities who, in an integrated way, will address topics such as Digital Health, Artificial Intelligence and the promotion of Health Education, among others.
We will discuss Portugal's role in scientific competitiveness at European level and the capacity of "Made in Portugal" science to attract wealth and added value, addressing the impact of science on the economy and the health economy.
